Highland Whisky Experience Tour from Edinburgh Scotland

Scotish Whisky Tour

Scotish Whisky Tour

Join a small group tour and learn all there is to know about Scotish whiskey, starting at the Glenturret Distillery, the oldest in Scotland.

Scotland has been blessed with many icons such as kilts, tartan, haggis, golf and bagpipes...but whisky is surely the most appreciated throughout the world.

Men have debated for centuries exactly what goes with whisky. Should it be water, soda, ginger ale or perhaps even more whisky?

You'll also visit the City of Perth, the Hermitage woodland walk, Gleneagles and Dunfermline on this very special tour.

From Edinburgh you will head north over the Forth Road Bridge giving you views of perhaps the eighth wonder of the world, the Forth Rail Bridge. You'll continue through the dramatic countryside to the banks of the River Tay and the city of Perth.

You can explore the remains of the original village of Scone which was demolished to improve the gardens, Perthshire's only maze and wonderful botanic areas.

You'll then drive to the Hermitage which is perhaps the most beautiful woodland walk in Perthshire if not Scotland. This leads you to Ossians Hall, an 18th century mirrored summerhouse overlooking a magnificent waterfall and to some of the tallest trees that you will find in this great country of ours.

Continuing through beautiful highland countryside, you'll reach the oldest distillery in Scotland, the Glenturret, home of the Famous Grouse, the best selling whiskey in Scotland. Three drams of the Famous Grouse are sipped every single second!!

You'll have time for lunch in the Famous Restaurant before you join the Flight of the Grouse, an interactive tour of Scotland, before your traditional distillery tour and a tasting straight from the cask.

After such an unforgettable experience, you then begin to retrace your steps before driving through Gleneagles, home of the world famous hotel and golf course. Continuing into the Kingdom of Fife, you reach Dunfermline, burial place to many of the Kings crowned at Scone, before reaching your final photo stop of the day at the Forth Bridges and on home to Edinburgh.

Even if Whiskey is not to your taste you will enjoy The Highland Whiskey Experience.
